On June 22, the Caidian District of Wuhan held the 2024 Wuhan Sino-German International Industrial Park Automotive Software and Ecology Conference and the Sino-German Automotive Association Seminar. A total of 8 projects were signed at the conference, with a total contract amount of 3 billion yuan. The signed projects cover fields such as automotive parts, new energy, and new materials, focusing on in-depth cooperation around the automotive industry chain and concentrating on the innovative development of automotive technology.
"Automotive parts are a traditional pillar industry in Caidian. There is a good foundation for industrial development, a good platform for international cooperation, and a good environment for attracting investment here, making it the first choice for investment and business." Caidian District Party Secretary Yu Congbin said that in recent years, the Sino-German Automotive Association and the International Society of Automotive Engineers have developed and grown in the Sino-German International Industrial Park. Caidian District is striving to build an international cooperation innovation zone, an advanced manufacturing industry gathering area, and a green development pilot area, focusing on the transformation of the 'three advantages' and reshaping the 'heavy' of the new era in Wuhan. It is reported that Caidian, as one of the main battlefields for automotive parts production and manufacturing, is seizing the development opportunities of electrification, intelligence, and connectivity in the automotive industry. It is deeply carrying out the 'four major competitions' and vigorously implementing the 'ten major projects', constructing a '4432' modern industrial system. It has gathered 179 automotive parts enterprises, including Faurecia, and established 21 innovation centers for new energy vehicle enterprises, such as the BorgWarner Asia Pacific R&D Center. Tesla and Li Auto's Central China delivery centers have successively settled in, with the scale of advanced manufacturing industries such as automotive parts exceeding 100 billion yuan, and the scale of emerging industries such as new energy, new materials, new digital, and new economy is approaching 50 billion yuan.
